What is Paper Quilling?

Paper quilling is an ancient art form, created by rolling, looping, curling, and twisting colored paper strips, which can be traced back to ancient Egypt. In the 16th century, paper quilling became more refined in France and Italy during the Renaissance. At that time, the nuns and friars of the monastery used derivative paper to roll and shape into various shapes to decorate some holy paintings and reliquaries.
